Firstly, I’d like to write about the nail procedure I had done this week. I had gel nail extension’s, for the price of £35 which sadly is the going rate, so definitely only a monthly treat. Many salon’s boast about the natural look but I must say I disagree, although they look lovely, a natural look isn’t something they offer. Although I have friends who just have the gel over lays for less chip and more protection and they do look natural!
What the beauty therapist will do is apply an acrylic paste on to the nail and allow it so set with the aid of a UV lamp. They are much lighter than acrylic and far less harsh on the natural nail. For those of you who are against ‘fake’ appearances this really is much more of an enhancement which can be maintained fortnightly.
Despite being costly, they do look lovely and so far have kept in good condition. Although in conclusion I am a fan of more shortened and rounded nails, so for me although a nice experience, well looked after natural nails, still take the biscuit!
