Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment 125ml

So this beautifully packaged healing oil treatment works wonders for all hair types, though they say it's more beneficial for dry/damaged hair. They say using this product has many benefits; including natural UV protection, longer lasting colour and of course an intense nourishment factor which leaves hair ultra-smooth. When using this product, apply a small amount to damp or dry hair and comb through for even distribution. For me one pump allows enough product for the task at hand. I towel dry my hair leaving it reasonably damp, brush it through with my beloved denman brush and apply the product right through from roots to tips.

Now down to the nitty gritty, personally for me Moroccan Oil takes the biscuit. The only reason I purchased Macadamia Oil was because on  the website Feel Unique it was £5 less for 25ml more and having not tried it I couldn't resist! Although sadly after one use I knew it wasn't for me. I felt it weighed down my hair and even made it look greasy, which let's be honest is never a good look. When using Moroccan Oil, I applied it after I washed my hair/before drying it and my hair was forever beautiful. With Macadamia Oil it just didn't work the same, though never one to waste product I use it every other night after showering before bed, although only when I'm planning to wash my hair again in the morning. That way I'm still helping my hair to stay beautiful without looking like I dunked my hair in grease!

Now a little about my hair, I have it professionally coloured every 6-7 weeks in the colour chocolate brown and I have a long bob. I rarely straighten my hair so thankfully my hair is in very good condition ( At one point in year nine I over used my GHD's so much my hair dresser would refuse to colour it) although five years on as a result of going cold turkey with the straighteners I can proudly say split ends are a thing of the past.

Retailing at £25.45 for 125ml (Feel Unique always has free delivery hallelujah) and Moroccan Oil retailing at £30.45 for 100ml it is a much better buy. Though personally for me I prefer Moroccan Oil and I shall forever buy it from now on once I've used the remainder of what's left. Macadamia Oil really does work in terms of my hair feels beautiful but the need to later wash the grease away just isn't worth the hassle for me.

Have you tried this product ? What's your opinion ?

St. Tropez - Gradual Tan Body MEDIUM/DARK

Once I saw this on the Feel Unique website I simply had to have it. At around £14 for a 200ml bottle, with the house hold name ‘St. Tropez’ on it, I couldn’t see a reason not to get it! It combines a wonderfully nourishing body moisturiser, which for someone like me who has fairly dry body skin is perfect (the aloe vera working it’s usual wonders) with a noticeable amount of bronze.  With it being a gradual tanner you can work up your colour, applying daily or every other. It also doesn’t have the tell-tale fake tan smell, hoorah!

Like any other tan I exfoliate before applying this product, getting rid of the dead skin cells to ensure the tan lasts as long as possible. It also doesn’t matter if you go over the same body part twice as the only places that will look uneven are the places missed. I use this tan around twice a week and after application I wait until it dries completely before I get dressed, yes that does involve being nakey nakey for a little while in your bedroom but it has to be done. I also make sure I wash my hands after, in between the fingers ect as orange hands can and will happen if you don’t!

I myself am quite a fair skinned lass, yet I bought the medium/dark one because I want something that will 100% show colour. I can be rather lazy so a simple gradual tan that has good colour payoff is amazing as appose to wacking out the mitt & mousse and having to sleep a sticky smelly mess. So over all this is another amazing product and if you’re looking for a new gradual tan to try, then this one works a treat and is well worth a try!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush - ADORED

A little while ago now, my wonderful Granddad who has a fair few pennies jetted off to Canada to visit some of his old friend’s and have a general break from the norms of England! And of course being the lovely man that he is he asked if I would like anything, not one to turn down such a great offer I put together a little list, wished him luck on his travels and waved him good bye for two weeks (He’s my father figure so we’re very close!).One item that was on the list was Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in the shade Adored. It’s a long wearing, solar-baked blush which last’s up to an impressive 12 hours. I have combination/oily skin, so this blush minimizes oil in and around pores to balance my skin and keep the product in place and supposedly those with dryer skin benefit from its nourishing and hydrating properties.

This is my ‘use daily’ blush purely because it’s so gorgeous! A soft gentle pink which helps create the natural girly look I love. It lasts hours on my skin, I’m not sure if it lasts the stated 12 hours because I never wear make-up for that long! But my oh my is it lovely! Soft with a matte finish, for an oily badger like me its heaven! I am also in love with the packaging! A nice chunky make-up item with a perfect sized mirror for on the go! I have been chucking it in my bag willy nilly for week’s not and it still looks perfect.

All in all it is a fabulous product! If you’re ever going to America/Canada then do pick one up! My Granddad purchased mine from Sephora and the cute little freebies they hand out are always welcome! It’s not the cheapest blush around retailing at $25.00 which is around £16 over here, but it’s a lot of blusher and a definite 10/10 so in my eyes its money well spent!

Gel Nail Extensions

Firstly, I’d like to write about the nail procedure I had done this week. I had gel nail extension’s, for the price of £35 which sadly is the going rate, so definitely only a monthly treat. Many salon’s boast about the natural look but I must say I disagree, although they look lovely, a natural look isn’t something they offer. Although I have friends who just have the gel over lays for less chip and more protection and they do look natural!

What the beauty therapist will do is apply an acrylic paste on to the nail and allow it so set with the aid of a UV lamp. They are much lighter than acrylic and far less harsh on the natural nail. For those of you who are against ‘fake’ appearances this really is much more of an enhancement which can be maintained fortnightly.

Despite being costly, they do look lovely and so far have kept in good condition. Although in conclusion I am a fan of more shortened and rounded nails, so for me although a nice experience, well looked after natural nails, still take the biscuit!
